High Elf Dragon Prince Conversion

Dragon Princes

I now have 10 of these simple conversions. Clearly based on Silver Helm models, I needed to remove all traces of eagle feathers from the horses' heads - I just used a knife and scraping tool to smooth down the details (when I come to painting, I will paint these bits as dragon armour - that's the idea at least). But now the knights were de-feathered, they needed to be dragoned-up; enter the key piece: the serpent icon from the spearmen sprue (I used 3 of these per dragon prince so start saving them now!). The one that was added to the horse got chopped off at an angle, about half-way up the neck, and attached in place of some of the mane I'd clipped away. By the way, it's worth noting here, that you can un-Disney your High Elf to some extent by filing down the nostrils a little. Moving onto the knight himself; basically a Silver Helm with modified helm (take an aforementioned serpent icon and chop as before; cut of the top of the knight's helm so it slopes forwards a little and stick together; add wings from ancient Bretons or possibly from Vampire Counts grave guard helms) and shield (shave one side of the trusty serpent icon, trim appropriately and glue to a spearmen's shield).

Command

The champion was given a sword, instead of a lance, and the dragon helm and shield from the High Elf Prince. The standard bearer simply has a couple of Silver Helm pennants added to his lance and the musician has the Silver Helm horn with the bird-head top removed.
