Swordmasters
These are simple to make, but it proved quite tough to gather the bits required for 15 Elves. Based on spearmen, they need a set of arms wielding a great weapon and a plume for their helms; provided by Ogre hair, Orc chariot crew top-knots and a load of that piece from the zombie/skaven/goblin/skeleton command sprue. The arms come from Empire state troops champions, Middenheim great-hammers, Mordheim great-swords - wherever I could scavenge them basically - with hammers replaced by Silver Helm swords glued by the hilt.
Command
The champion (a bolt-thrower crew's body) received the mage's head with flowing hair, the Prince's great-sword and the left arm that matched from the same. The standard bearer and musician simply use spearmen bitz (with a star-shaped shield device glued to the banner cloth). |
